Insurance Lawyers Society

The Russian Insurance Lawyers Society is a non-profit partnership formed to provide a forum for the promotion, review, development and debate of insurance law through seminars, workshops and conferences.
It conducts regular events all of which provide a medium of exchange for ideas and the promotion of awareness of insurance law issues.
RILS is a unique organisation, its membership being drawn from insurers, insurance brokers and other intermediaries, academic lawyers, solicitors and barristers.
RILS was born at the international conference "Insurance. Law. WTO. Application of Law in the Context of Forthcoming Liberalisation of the Insurance Market in Russia" in May 2007. It was supported by the Public Chamber of Russia, the Anglo-Russian Law Association, the Association of Lawyers of Russia, the State University – Higher School of Economics, and others.
